Penny Black @ Allsorts

The title of this months challenge over at PennyBlack @ Allsorts is Glitter and Glitz so I have put this card into the challenge. I hope that the photo has picked up all the gliter!! I decided to leave the stamp black and white - it's such a small stamp and was lost when I coloured it in.

I have made a little 'me' time over the last few days and spent time in my craft room. It really is very relaxing!!!
I have made this card which I am entering the following two challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky - Flower Power

Anything Goes Challenge - Three Layers

At the moment I don't have many Magnolia's so this is the girl on the bike again - but I do like so much.

Thanks for popping by,

Jo xx

Tim Holtz

Good afternoon everyone in Blogland. I have been playing with Tim Holtz this morning - or should I say just a few of his products! I bought some Gesso a few weeks ago so had to experiment with it. The background has been done with distress inks and then stamped on with Stazon. Then I applied the Gesso and then rubbed off with babywipes left it to dry and then stamped on top with stazon. It gives the background an old faded effect which I quite like.
I also have some clear crackle glaze so I'm going to have a play with that now!

Bye for now Jo x

Sir Stampalot August Challenge

Hello everyone! I have decided to put this card into this month's challenge at Sir Stampalot entitled 'Bring on the Bling'. You should be able to see the gems on the scroll which I made using a diecut from the cricut, used as a template and then inked over with distress inks. Tilda has been painted with distress inks too, just 'Black Soot' and 'Faded Jeans'. I hope you like her xx

Sir Stampalot May Challenge Card

Good evening everyone hope you are all well. I've had a little time in my craft room over the last few days and have decided to put this card into the Sir Stampalot May Challenge. I have had a go at a ribbon flower which my friend Chris gave me instructions for last week and entwined some gold thread with the gold ribbon. I have also dusted down my zutter and added some ribbons. Gold isn't a colour I have used lately, but I thought it brightened the card up especially with the beads on the butterfly. Brenda is so right that it is easy to get addicted to Tim Holtz products, as yet again I have used them to distress the background!

Happy Crafting

Sirstampalot May Challenge

Hello everyone. I have been a bit busy over last few weeks so have been a bad blogger. I have been at work a lot and my teenage daughter has started her GCSE's so our house is a little stressful. Speaking of which, Zoe my daughter, has just completed her Art exam and as a normal teenager, has left all her paints for me to put away! Which I have used on this note book which I am entering into The Sirstampalot May Challenge. I have used acrylic paint to paint the notebook and the chipboard along with French verse. I have then used Tim Holtz China Blue around the edges.I have become addicted to Tim Holtzs' products so the wonderful prize on offer this month is a dream.

I plan to pop around to see what everyone's been up to later.

See you soon x

Sir Stampalot Challenge

This is my entry into The Sirstampalot new monthly challenge. The theme is Fantasy which has been a real challenge for me.
I have used Woodware stamps for the images called Fairy Tots. Also, I have used glossy accents on the mushrooms/toadstoals, butterfly and some of the fairy's clothing so that they stand out more but the picture hasn't picked that out too well!

Thank you all for all the lovely comments on my first card - you have all made me feel very welcome in Blogland ! Thank you also to Chris who has helped me to get started. I've been looking through some cards and have come across this simple one. The image is from Garden Tots from Woodware. Not normally an image I would go for but I have surprisingly fallen in love with the set. The photo doesn't do it much justice though, so I think maybe a new camera might be on the shopping list soon!
I hope to pop over to everyone's blogs soon to have a peep. I wish I had discovered this sooner. xxx
